🌱Repression & Avoidance
Repression and avoidance go hand in hand. When we choose to avoid our pain, it inevitably becomes repressed. When emotions are repressed, they ultimately show themselves in other ways, usually in physical illness. If you want to be a physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy person, you must gain the skills necessary to effectively release pain.
This is supported in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Positive Psychology, Reiki, Yoga, and many other fields. Unfortunately it isn’t culturally accepted or taught as a natural life skill to our youth. Most holistic healing modalities and practitioners acknowledge that many illnesses are nothing more than stored trauma or pain, expressing itself in a different form.
Chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, mental illness, etc. are the manifestation of stored trauma and pain. It can even be generations of stored trauma and pain passed from one generation to the next. Making the choice to become healthier in mind, body, and spirit helps begin the release of this negative energy from your own physical body and your genetic composition.
Learning this, modeling it, and teaching it to our children is crucial for us to meet a higher level of consciousness as humans. Learning how to remain present and mindful with our pain is the first step towards release. Learning how to love ourselves and others despite the pain we may feel is the next step in the transmutation of this energy.
